Students are required to complete a Reflective Portfolio, which builds on the demonstration of core competence as set out above which clearly demonstrates reflective learning and is based on a structured reflective framework. The assignment is based on the requirement of learning within this module that the student consolidates the theoretical elements of the program within practice settings through the demonstrable application and integration of skills/attitudes and knowledge within practice. This assignment is intended to support that development at both a formative and summative level and recognizes that principles of adult learning underpin practice at this level and the philosophy of this program.

At the summative level, verification of learning will be undertaken through the submission and assessment of a Reflective Portfolio which incorporates evidence of a capacity to engage in a critical reflective analysis of practice. The final assessment for this component of the Module Assessment will be based on students’ completed work and its presentation. Students are therefore required to present for assessment a Reflective Portfolio which provides explicit evidence of

Students must bear in mind that their Reflective Portfolio is not merely a presentation of the facts associated with the involved. There must be evidence of clear integration of both personal and professional learning. There is an expectation that students will demonstrate integration and linking of evidence to the learning outcomes of the program as well as within the module. Examination of the Reflective Portfolio The assignment will be examined holistically, and the standard expected is that the supporting evidence meets the following criteria.  The evidence presented should demonstrate both depth and breadth of personal and professional learning, and is valid, current, and authentic.  The assignment should integrate elements of client care, the relevant domains of practice, personal development, evidence of critical assessment of one’s own performance, and elements that identify and prioritize areas requiring further performance enhancement, evidence of either remedial action taken or required to develop and improve performance as appropriate
